Together, we have accomplished so much in 2024, and there is much more to come. We completed our 2nd FOL Holiday Book Sale on 12/7/24. Friends of the Library book sale committee members and members of the High School Honor Society worked together to set up, work the sale and tear down afterwards. The event was a success! We are happy to report that we sold over 780 books and gave away many children’s books. The gross profit was a little over $1900 and we signed up 9 more members. What a fun day. We appreciate the wonderful community of Livingston and Park County for attending our event.
In between our two yearly book sales, we have The Nearly New Book Shop which is located in the 3rd Street lobby at the Livingston-Park County Public Library where we hope you will find something new to read. Shop a wide variety of books, including fiction and nonfiction, for $2.00 per book. And as always, children’s books are FREE! The Nearly New Book Shop has three methods of payment: upstairs with cash or check at the library station; in the cash box located at the book shop or by venmo: friendsofthelivingston-parkcountypubliclibrary.
We look forward to our Spring Book Sale next! Whether you're looking for a great deal or just want to add some new books to your collection - this is one sale you won't want to miss!
The holiday book sale is one way that the Friends of Livingston-Park County Public Library raises funds to support programming and preservation of the Livingston-Park County Public Library. All proceeds from this event benefit the library by providing enhanced services and resources not funded by tax dollars alone.
